Women's Council

Resale Shop, on Cam and Clif-
ford Sts., operated by the De -
troit Section, National Council
of Jewish Women, reported the
largest month's business in its
history for the period of Novem-
ber, 1939. Over 3500 worth of
merchandise was sold during this
month, according to Mrs. James
Stein, vice-chairman of the Re-
sale Shop Committee.
A special holiday drive for
toys and children's articles is be-
ing carried on. All such items,
especially saleable at this season,
as well as men's and women's
clothing, furniture, household
equipment and jewelry, are need-
ed to maintain the large stock of
the establishment.
As a new venture, Resale
Shop will take on consignment
women's fur and cloth coats and
men's overcoats. Fifteen per cent
of each sale goes to the shop for
this service.
Volunteer's who will give a
half-day's service weekly at the
shop are needed and are asked
to call Mrs. Gerald Spero at

Anyone having a bundle to
contribute may secure truck serv-
