Two-Thirds of Poland's 3,500,000 Jews; Many Jews Are Killed as Result of Bombing of
Wilno; Exiled Professionals Invited by Reich to Return to German Homeland

With all frontiers closed to refugees from war-torn countries, tens of thousands of Jews are trudging the high-
ways of southeastern Poland without hope and with little prospects of getting any relief. Completely isolated from the
world and living under severe Nazi martial law, it is estimated that 4,000,000 Jews arc now under domination of the
Hitlerites. More than 10,000 Jews are on the Rumanian border, frantically seeking escape, and the 1,500,000 Or-
thodox Jews of Galicia are in a frightful position unparalleled in the entire history of Jewish suffering. While it is
expected that England will permit the 10,000 Jews who are seeking admission to Rumania to be transported to Pal-
estine, the position of millions of Jews is so deplorable that it is believed only a miraculous change in world affairs will
relieve their suffering.
