Auxiliary of Jewish War
Veterans of Detroit

Mrs. Henry H. Shapiro, preni-
dent of the Detroit Ladies Aux-
iliary No. 135 of the Jewish War
Veterans of the U, S., reported
thin week that the auxiliary has
a busy summer schedule.
A card party was held and
the net proceeds were contrib-
uted to the National Refugee
Fund.
On Aug. 3, members visited
the new Veterans' Hospital at
Dearborn, Mich. Every veteran
was presented with a gift in
addition to the entertainment
provided, The chairman, Mrs.
Ida Schultz, has plans for the
Auxiliary again to visit the hos-
pital in October, at which time
the Veterans again will be given
gifts and an interesting pro-
gram will be arranged for them.
The citizenship classes organ-
ized in March by the Detroit
Ladles Auxiliary are continuing
through the summer months and
are held every Monday and
Thursday evenings from 7 to 9
at the Wayne County Building.
Anyone desiring to join may do
