BUCKLEY ENDORSES CHRONICLE'S
PLAN FOR THREE-FOLD ACTION
In a statement to The Detroit Jewish Chron-
icle, William G. Buckley, member of the Michigan
State House of Representatives from the Wayne
County (First) District, endorses the proposal for
a three-fold program editorially advanced in these
columns three weeks ago. Mr. Buckley's statement
follows:
"My attention has just been called to the
three-fold program proposed by The Detroit Jewish
Chronicle to prevent the spread of religious and
racial bigotry. I have read your proposals carefully
and am in hearty accord with them. I firmly be-
lieve that if planned with care and precision such
a program can go a long way in putting an end to
the un-American occurrences which endanger the
democratic form of our government.

affected by vicious propaganda.
"Also—I know what the uniformed private
armies can do. Who can forget the K. K. K.?

cans must unite to eliminate indecencies.
"I plan to make a deep study of our legal
codes to learn how the three proposals you are ad-
vancing can be put into force. If I can be of service,
I shall do everything in my power to the end that
your program should be put into effect in a legal
way."
