next meeting of Pisgah Lodge
to be held on Monday evening,
May 1, at 8:30 p. m., in the
auditorium of the Maccabees
Building.
Henry M. Abramovitz is chair-
man of the nominating commit-
tee which includes William Ber-
man, Joe Brown, Rudolph Meyer-
sohn, Lewis L. Steinberg and
Herman S. Osnos. It is customary
to have three nominations be-
fore the election of officers is
held. However, in this instance

Use of Jewish Name

COLOGNE (WNS) — Sign-
ing a letter to the authorities
without using the compulsory
additional name of Israel in
the signature cost a German
Jew 50 marks or the alterna-
tive of a week in prison. This
is the first time the law re-
garding compulsory use of the
additional name Israel by all
Jewish males in Germany has
been enforced.
