The plan for sponsoring young artists has been the means of giv- ing many talented young men and women the opportunity of further- ing their musical education with eminent teachers. Paul Musikonsky, the violinist who will be heard in concert on Jan. 23, made his debut in 1932, at the age of 8, with the Man- hattan Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Dr. Henry Hadley'. Ile has been acclaimed in music circles throughout Europe and Asia, as well as in America, as a young artist of great promise. The scholarship fund which en- ables the Music Study Club to carry out their work among young msicians, was created in 1932 by Mrs. D. W. Simons, in memory of her daughter, Sylvia.
