ST. LOUIS. — (Religious
News Service.) — A prayer
to "set in motion forces which
will bring Adolf Hitler repent-
ance" is published on the
front cover of the current
issue of the Christian-Evan-
gelist, national organ of the
Disciples of Christ.
Pleading that Hitler's eyes
may be opened to the nos-
sibilities of constructive
achievement," the prayer asks
that he "may see how to save
the world from a deluge of
blood and usher in a new day
of international and inter-
racial good will and Joy."
Editor, Detroit Jewish Chrnoicle:
I wish to take this opportunity
in extending to you my heartiest
congratulations upon your splen-
did work of presenting the truth
about Father Coughlin's charges.
Instead of preaching the good-
ness of the Bible, he preaches
the gospel of hatred, distrust and
humiliation. Fortunately, he has
proven himself to be a parrot of
the Hitler type.
The American people will ad-
here to the principles of our
republic and will regard the
Coughlin charges as absurd.

Jewish Cabinet Members Boycott
Treaty Dinner
PARIS. (WNS)—Two Jewish
members of the French Cabinet
were conspicuously absent from
a dinner given by Foreign Min-
ister Georges Bonnet to Joachim
von Ribbentrop, the German For-
eign Minister, who came here for
the signing of the Franco-Ger-
man declaration of friendship.
Georges Mandel, Minister of Col-
onies, and Jean Zay, Minister of
Education, were not invited.
Marshall Petain, last survivor of
the hero generals of the World
War, and other Cabinet mem-
bers, including Cesar Campinchi,
the Navy Minister, who had been
invited, refused to attend. Leon
Blum's newspaper, Populaire,
took violent exception to the fact
that the two Jewish ministers had
not been asked to attend and de-
clared editorially that "it is a
disgrace," and "Is Hitler already
dictating the law is France?"
All the money Albert Einstein
makes on articles and lectures
outside of his regular work at
the university is given to refu-
