Children of early school age, or
even younger, reach their late
'teens and early twenties almost
before one knows it. Then comes
the day when a college or higher technical education is neces-
sary. Why not make sure now that funds for their education
will be ready when needed? I will be glad to show you how
it can be done in a simple practical manner.

"The Cossacks are coming!" Once
these words were h cry of terror,
warning Turk and Tartar of
fierce invaders swooping down
from the valley of the Don, sav-

a trial of blood ... "The Cossacks

you hear it. For the Cossacks

One crying need in Jewish Edu-
cation in America today is
"Ilinukh Ila-banot" — education
of the Jewish daughter. No dif-
ference should be made between
the Jewish education of the boy
and that of the girl., Too many
accept with resignation the fact
that comparatively few girls re-
ceive daily instruction in the Ile-
brew schools. This fact indicates
that the Jewish public thoroughly
misunderstands the function of
Jewish education today.
In the medieval ghetto the Jew-
ish girl-received very little school-
ing, but we mustn't overlook the
fact that she was constantly ex-
posed to Jewish influences eman-
ating from her home and from
her environment, influences most
valuable in education. Thus she
became permeated with the Jewish
spirit and developed traits and
habits needled to make her a good
Jewish housewife and mother.
The goal of the school of the
ghetto was to educate the pupil
to a high level of Jewish learning.
There was no need of worrying
whether or not the pupil would
grow up to be a loyal Jew--the
child's environment automatically
took care of that aspect of his
education. Today, however, due
to the lack of proper environ-
