Orchestra Hall Dec. 3

Tony Sarg, whose marionettes
are a development. of the origi-
nal European puppets and who
is famous all over the world for
his little actors, will present his
marionettes in Robert Louis Ste-
venson's "Treasure Island" at
Orchestra Hall. Saturday after-
noon and night, Dec. 3.,
Mr. Sarg first became inter-
ested in puppets nearly 20 years
ago, when he crested a scene
from Dickens "Old Curiosity
Shop."

the company of the Rosh Yeshiva
of Raclin, will be guest speaker
at the dinner, in addition to lo-
cal orthodox rabbis. Cantor David
Katzman of Bnai Moshe. Syna-
gogue will present a musical pro-
gram.
Rabbi Levin has endeared him-
self to many members of the
Jewish community in this city,
during the year he has lived here,
by his learning, piety and digni-
fied rabbinical personality.
Trained in the famous Yeshiva of
Rodin and other East European
academies of Torah, he was an
outstanding student of the late
"Chofetz Chaim," before being
called to become rabbi of Washki.
Lithuania, where he served for
seven years. After immigrating
to the United States, he was
spiritual leader of the two ortho-
dox synagogues in Erie, Pa., for
a year and a half. Since his ar-
rival in Detroit, Rabbi Levin has
preached regularly at the Tuxedo
Talmud Torah Synagogue and
leads the study groups in Bible
and Talmud at the Beth Tikvah
Congregation, on Petoskey. He
is alsoactively participating in
the work of the local Vaad Ha-
Kashruth, Yeshivoth Beth Yehu-
dah and other communal activi-
ties.
