Describe Refugee Aid

The problem of the resettle-
ment of German refugees was
described by Albert C. Weil of
Cincinnati and Miss Cecilia Raz-
ofsky, director of the National
Coordinating Committee for Aid
to Refugees and Immigrants
Coming From Germany. It was
pointed out by Miss Razofaky
that no refugees have become
public charges, but that all of
them have real assets which bene-
fit the communities which absorb
them.

The problems of vocational ad-
justment of Jewish youth were
considered at a special group
meeting of the conference and
the communities comprising the
East Central States Regional
Conference were urged to take
steps to cooperate with existing
agencies and develop new facili-
ties for meeting guidance prob-
lems and for re-directing occu-
pational training for Jewish
youth. Special emphasis
was
placed upon the development of
placement service not only for
Jewish youth but also for Jews
who are facing discrimination in
finding employment.
In a session presided over by
Robert Senior of Cincinnati, the
possibilities of developing cen-
tralized and coordinated systems
of Jewish education were dis-
cussed.
