CHRONICLE
Passover Records
Women'. League of the United
Synagogue Reissues Seder
Melodies
NEW YORK — Four well-
known rabbis are the featured
artists in a series of Passover
musical selections just reissued
in new phonograph record im-
pressions by the \V o m e n's
League of the United Syna-
gogue. The traditional Seder
melodies, recorded originalaly
while the rabbis were students
at the Jewish Theological Semi-
nary of America, have again
been made available to the pub-
lic by the Women's League, of
which Mrs. Samuel Spiegel is
national president, because•they
comprise the only such Passover
music in mechanical rendition.
Five numbers are recorded on
two double faced records.
One record comprises the
"Addur Ilu" and the "Chad
Gadyoh." The "Addur Hu" is
sung by Rabbi Morris Margolis,
now rabbi of the Jacksonville
(Florida) Jewish Center, while
the number on other face of the
record is rendered by Rabbi
Theodore II, Gordon. Rabbi Arm
S. Hyams, now rabbi of Temple
Beth El of Asbury Park, N. J.,
sings two numbers, "Chasal Sid-
dur Pesach" and "Echod Mi
Yodea", on one face of the other
record while on the reverse side
Rabbi Harold Goldfarb, now of
the Community Temple of Cleve-
land, 0., sings the familiar "Ki
Lo Noeh".
Records may be ordered to
be sent parcel post C.O.D. from
the national headquarters of the
Women's League of the United
Synagogue, 3080 Broadway,
New York City.
