Purim Operetta at Shaarey Zedek Sunday Evening Although the plans for the Purim dinner this Sunday evening have been abandoned by the auxiliaries of Congregation Shaarey Zedek, plans have been concluded for the staging of the comic Purim operet- ta, "Haman Hangs High," at 8:15 o'clock, in the social hall of the synagogue, The cast includes 50 players, and the leads are taken by the following: "Esther," Julian Barahal; "Zeresh," Irene Kahn; Vashti, Julia Siegl; "Haman," Jack Rosenberg; "Mordecai," Sherman Shapiro; "King," Ansley Goodman; "Herold," Sheldon Munson. They will be assisted by a large chorus. Special musical attractions have been arranged by Cantor J. H. Sonenklar.
