Mrs. Roosevelt Sees
As Many Fascists As
Communists in America

WASHINGTON, D. C. —
(WNS)—There are as many
Fascists as Communists in the
United States but neither are
yet a real menace, Mrs. Frank-
lin D, Roosevelt declared in her
question and answer page of
the March issue of the Demo-
cratic Digest. Answering the
question, "Is Communism mak-
ing the inroads into our na-
tional life that some claim it
is?" Mrs. Roosevelt replied: "I
can only speak from observa-
tion. It seems to me that the
number of Communists in this
country at the present time is
comparatively small. I feel that
Fascists are quite as much in
evidence. However, I have no
fear of either group as long as
our own form of government on
the whole meets the needs of
our people. People do not decide
to change their form of govern-
ment unless they are convinced
that under its auspices they
cannot obtain a life which is
worth living."
