People's Theater

Hebrew Schools, who has been as-
sociated with the schools in Detroit
for 19 years.
A souvenir pamphlet, in Hebrew
and English, dedicated to Mr.
Isaacs, and edited by Harry Selig-
son, will be presented to guests at
the celebration. It will contain
greetings from various groups and
individuals associated with and in-
terested in Hebrew education. In-
cluded also will be many Hebrew
songs that will be sung at the ban-
quet.
Dr. Gamoran is one of the most
brilliant educators in America. He
is recognized as an authority on
educational methods among Amer-
ican educators as well as Hebrew
educators. He is a graduate of the
College of the City of New York,
of the Teacher's Institute of the
Jewish Theological Seminary of
America and holds degree of doc-
tor of philosophy from Columbia
University. He is author of an ex-
tensive list of monographs on Jew-
ish education problems, has de-
veloped courses in education and is
co-author with A. H. Friedland of
"Gilenu - the Play-Way to He-
brew," a four-volume work.
He is also a ,member of the edi-
torial staff of the Jewish Educa-
tion Magazine and it) active in the
National Council for Jewish Edu-
cation,
Seymour Tilchin, member of the
first graduating class, heads the
anniversary committee.
