western conference held in Detroit
recently, the regional office of the
Mizrachi Organization for the
states of Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky
and Indiana was created. The offi-

nese artist, whose six diaramas
showing Palestine as he envisioned
it during an extensive tour of the
land in 1927 are now on display at
the exposition at Convention Hall,
will be at the Jewish Community
Center with his display for a week
beginning on Monday, Feb, 1.
The exhibition at the Center was
arranged by the Art School which
functions under the direction of a
committee of which Mrs. David B.
Werbe is chairman.
Mr. Micklea will personally ex-
plain his diaramas during their
display at the Center.

Sidney Lansburg of Baltimore,
was elected campaign treasurer,
succeeding Jerome J. Rothschild
of Philadelphia, and Harold
Minch of Atlanta and Albert II.
Lieberman of Philadelphia were
elected new vice-chairmen.
The vice-chairmen re-elected
are James II. Becker of Chicago,
Leon Falk, Jr., of Pittsburgh;
Salmon E. Halle of Cleveland,
and Meyer L. Prentia of Detroit.
"The 1938 fund-raising cam-
paign of the American Jewish
Joint Distribution Committee is
a life and death matter for mil-
lions of human beings," stated the
resolutions adopted at the meet-
ing. "As active participants in
the efforts of many communities
of American, we are deeply con-
cerned with the problems of our
fellow Jews overseas. We have
met in council and pledge our-
selves to do all that lies within
our power to assure the collection
of a national quota for $5,100,000
for the program of the Joint Dis-
tribution Committee this year. To
the fulfillment of that task we
dedicate ourselves today."
The resolution spoke of the ir-
reparable loss to all mankind in
the passing of the late Felix M.
Warburg.
