The marriage of Miss Clara
Granet to Maxwell B. Shaw was
solemnized on Nov. 7, at the Fort
Wayne Hotel. Rabbi Isaac Stoll-
man aid Rev. Samuel Mogil per-
formed the ceremony.
The bride wore a dress of white
cut velvet with princess lines and
a high soft neckline. The head-
dress on her veil was made of tiny
white velevt buds to match her
gown. Her boquet was made up
of Belmont gardenias and white
orchids.
The matron of honor, Mrs.
Louis S. Sugarman, wore Ameri-
can beauty velvet with roses to

match,

The bridesmaids, Diana Granet,
Charlotte Onkin, Edith Green,
Rose Kamin and Evelyn Shemitz,
wore fall shades of transparent
velvet of corresponding styles and
carried boquets of mums.
The bride's mother wore Santa
Fe Blue velvet and the groom's
mother wore beige lace, both wore
corsages of orchids.
The best man was Morrey Shaw,
brother of the groom. The ushers
in attendance were: Harold
Brown, Martin Shulman, Dr. Mar-
cus Sugarman, Ralph Granet and
Sidney Lushbont.
The ring bearer was Leonard
Shaw of Toledo, The flower girls
were Jean Shaw and Joyce Key-
well.
Many out of town guests attend-
ed the wedding.

With New Class

Last Monday night, Dec. 6,
Pisgah Lodge held its first regualr
meeting with the new, large class
present, The total number of mem-
bers in attendance was approxi-
mately 200. The meeting was
fraught with interesting things.
Resolutions were adopted and pre-
sented to penjamin F. Goldman,
Harry Yu'dkoff and Dr. Victor
Droock for the splendid work they
have done for the 80th anniversary
celebration.
The organization adopted a reso-
lution thanking Alfred M. Cohen,
international president of Bnai
Itrith, for honoring the lodge with
his presence at the celebration.

team by Nathan Rosen, a past
president. The recipients of the
pictures were Samuel W. Leib,
Aaron Rosenberg, Harold Silver-
ston, Elias Golderg, Joseph Staub
and Henry Thumin.
After a number of committee
reports which manifested some of
the order, the organization was
adressed by Julius Deutelbaum,
past president, and Rabbi Harold
Rosenthal, one of the newly in-
augurated members. Louis Edler
of River Rouge spoke to the or-
ganization on behalf of the group
of 17 new members from River
Rouge, Prizes were presented to
those who brought in the most
members during the recent drive.
Louis H. Schostak, chairman of
the intellectual advancement com-
mittee, announced the program for
the balance of the year. The next
major event is to take place on
Dec. 20, at which time Goldie
Myerson will address the members
of the organization and their
friends.

Pisgah Lodge expressed its ap-

Lodge, by adopting resolutions
expressing "its profound gratitude
to President Cohen for honoring
the lodge and through it our com-

has planned a night of games for

Jobs for a large number of corn-
petent young people are being can-
caused for this week by the em-
ployment service of the Jewish
Community Center, according to
Charles E. Feinberg, chairman of
the employment committee.
Mast of the applicants will take
temporary work as well as perma-
nent positions. Among those listed
are office workers, file clerks,
stenographers and typists, bindery
workers, stock and merchandising
clerks, delivery boys and calculat-
ing and comptometer machine
operators. Requests are being
made particularly to Jewish-owned
chain stores and large concerns
with branches, to absorb some of
the latter type of workers.
All applicants at the Center's
employment service are carefully
investigated and when sent out to
a job are felt to be fully fitted for
the work assigned, Business houses
having places open are urged to
telephone their needs for workers
