Herzog of the Ashkenazic com-
munity and Sephardic Chief Rabbi

Jews. "The echo of the bestial out s
rages has been heard throughout
the world," the message declares,
appealing to Jews to "control their
emotions with logic and fortify
themselves with patience, refusing
to yield to despair and doing noth-
ing to besmirch the holy blood of
those who died by irresponsible
acts." A similar statement was PS-
sued by Jewish National Council,
pointing out that the government
is taking the strictest measures
"to uproot evil although security
is unrestored."
Terrorism claimed another Jew-
ish fatality with the death of Mor-
decai Zlotnitsky, a laborer who
wag shot and killed in an attack
from ambush. Zlotnitsky, who was
28 years old and married. was em-
ployed with the Palestin - Potash
Company at the Dead Sr^ works.

On Altman's Hour

Hyman Altman's Jewish Hour
will present William Gavman with
his quartette at noon this Sunday
on Station WMBC. Rhoda Zaha-
vie Simon, soprano, Bella Ritten
Goldberg, alto, William Cayman,
tenor, and J. Chafetz, bass. are
in the quartette. The actors from
Littman's Theater will also appear
and the WMBC orchestra under
the direction of Abraham Grua-
