The League of Nations Council unanimously
adopted a resolution on Palestine presented
by a subcommittee entirely reserving its opin-
ion and decision on the Palestine Mandate,
and deferring consideration of the question

of partition until the council is in a position to deal with
it as a whole. The resolution, meeting British Foreign
Secretary Anthony Eden's request for power to name a
new committee to proceed to Palestine for further nego-
tiations, reads as follows:
