Brazilian Fascists and Nazis
Suffer Dual Blow
RIO DE JANEIRO (WNS) —
Fascist anti-Semitism and Nazi
propaganda received two impor-
tant setbacks in Brazil when Gov-
ernor Nereo Ramon, of the State
of Porto Alegre, ordered the im-
mediate closing of all Nazi schools
and Senor Mote, the only repre-
sentative of the Fascist Integra-
lista Party in the Brizilian parlia-
ment, announced his withdrawal
from the party. The ban on the
Nazi schools was described by
Governor Ramos as ''the first step
in the battle against Germaniza-
tion of Brizilian youth." Senor
Mots explained his resignation
from the Fascist Party as being
due to his firm belief in the demo-
cratic traditions of Brazil and his
convicton that Brazilians would
oppose the Fascist movement
whose activties are dictated by a
foreign country.
