Of Young Israel

Dedication of Sefer Torah in
Memory of Irving M. Osmos
on Sept. 12

For the 10th consecutive year,
Young Israel of Detroit, will con-
duct High Holy Day services at
Its synagogue located at 2691 Joy
Road, Special Beale T'Fillo and
good speakers have been engaged
for the services which will be con-
ducted in the traditional manner
with the proper decorum. Mem-
bers and friends are urged to make
their reservations early. Tickets
may be procured any evening, ex-
cept Friday, from the committee
at the synagogue.
On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 12,
beginning at 1 p. tn., Young Israel
of Detroit will conduct a "Siyum
Ha Torah," dedication of the Holy
Scroll, at its synagogue, 2691 Joy
Road. The Sefer Torah is being
donated through the generosity of
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Osnos, in mem-
ory of their departed son, Irving
M. Elaborate plans are being made
for the occasion which promises to
attract hundreds of people, Irving
M. Bunim, prominent New York
Israel executive. will be the prin-
cipal speaker. He is regarded as
one of the outstanding personali-1
ties among the religious Jewish
youth of America. There will also
be other prominent speakers. The
public is invited.
