At a recent stag dinner which
closed the lodge's activities until
the fall season, incoming officers of
Flint Lodge 656, Order of Bnai
Brith, were installed and past
presidents were honored. As re-
tiring president Dr.. Max S. Hart
handed over his gavel to his suc-
cessor, Morris Zwerdling. Others
who assumed their places as new
officials included Meyer Never,
vice-president; Gilbert Rubenstein,
secretary; Isaac Schnider, treas-
urer; Gilbert Fienberg, warden;
Dr. Max S. Hart, monitor; Philip
Agree, assistant monitor; Maurice
Rotenberg, trustee.
Zwerdling, the incoming presi-
dent, is a native of Ann Arbor and
came to Detroit in 1932 following
his graduation from the law school
of . the University of Michigan.
Until he transferred his scene of
activity to Flint in May of 1934
he served as a research assistant
for Justices Henry M. Butzel and
George E. Bushnell of the Michi-
gan Supreme Court. At the present
time he is•associated•with Roy E.
Brownell, a former president of
1..the State Bar Association, and
I Ralph E. Gault In the practice of
law in Flint, Ile has two brothers,
one of whom, Joseph, is an assist-
ant attorney general of Michigan,
and the other, Abraham, is in the
midst of a law course at the Uni-
versity of Michigan.

completed for the annual picnic of
the Hebrew Ladies Aid Society
which will be held on Sunday, July
11, at Riverside Plymouth Park. A
hot kosher dinner will be served,
as well as soft drinks and other
refreshments. The committee in
charge has made plans for enter-
tainment for young and old. There
will be games, races and prizes.
Mrs. J. Arthur Schiff, chairman
of this affair, will be misted by
Mesdames Ethel Miller, Ethel
Gcodman, Sam Berkowitz. Schaef-
fer, Abe Miller and Pearl Schwartz.
All members and their friends, to-

Dr. Marvin Si. Harris, 30-year-
old Detroiter, who is bacteriologist
for the state health department of
Georgia, with headquarters in At-
lanta, has attracted nationwide at-
tention with his statement that an
excess of kissing will cause people
to lose their teeth. Dr. Harris'
statement was used as a yarn in
the nationwide broadcast by Walter
Winchell.
Dr. Harris is at present visiting
