announced by II. L. Lurie. execu-

These welfare funds, Mr. Lurie
explained, enlist support for vari-

thereby eliminating the numerous
and frequent appeals or drives
formerly conducted by the In-

beginning of 1936. he said, 29
new welfare funds have been or-
ganized and a total of 76 have
been organized since 1934.
