the balance needed for the full quota.
With Nate Shapero as chairman of the

held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. On Tues-

Samuel Untermyer is president,
moved to prevent school authori-
ties in all parts of the country
from entering into a German-
American student exchange plan,
charging that such a plan is part
of the Nazi government's system
of international propaganda.
The first step in the League's
campaign was a telegraphic re-

immediate dismissal from the
classrooms of his city of 100 Ger-

The League charged the Ger-

Immigration Schedule
Rejected by Agency
The Jewish Agency for Pal-
estine has rejected the new
immigration schedule and has
informed the Palestine govern-
ment that it cannot accept the
insignificant number of 770
labor certificates for a period
of four months.
According to the report from
Jerusalem, this significant ac-
tion by the Agency, unpre-
cedented in the history of Jew-
ish relations with the Man-
datory Power, came after the
entire Jewish settlement in
Palestine protested against the
small number of visas granted
for this four-month period.
Only the certificates allotted
for German refugees will be
accepted.
