RE-ELECT .. - JUDGE JOHN F.

McKINLAY

to Common Pleas Court

FROM BERLIN TO BUENOS AIRES

VOTE MONDAY TO
Retain Justices Louis H. Fead and Walter
H. North in the State Supreme Court

Justice NORTH has had 31 years' experience on the bench—
Justice Fead, 24 years. Both have outstanding records in Cir-
cuit and Supreme Courts in their combined 55 years of
service.
Because the State has no provision, like that of Detroit, for
non-partisan election of judges, names of all candidates must
appear Monday on the State Ballot on party tickets. Justices
Fead and North are named in the Republican column.
In Wayne County, many Democrats and Republicans have
united in a Non-Partisan Campaign to re-elect Justices Fead
and North on their records. Your support is urged in Mon-
day's election.

This increase is less than the needs of our members demand. Dairy

farming in Michigan for many years has been poorly paid. Losses have

often been severe. Recent rapid increases in milk production costs

have, therefore, caused-a crisis. During the past year the price of cow
feeds has increased over 70%. Farm labor wages have been forced up

by higher wages paid in the factories. Dairy machinery and supplies

have risen in step with general industrial recovery. Yet, no increase

has been given to farmers on Detroit consumer milk in more than two

years. In brief, the present cost of producing milk is higher than the

price received by our members.

Therefore, our members are forced to regard the present increase of

approximately %c per quart as only a partial and temporary settle-

ment of their problem. For the time being, however, they are willing to

subject their interests to the public need of peace in industry. They

hope that thereby public goodwill toward the milk industry may be

strengthened.
