Dr. Ben Zion Mossinsohn left a
lasting impression upon Detroit
audiences during his one-day stay
in Detroit on Wednesday, March
24.
Dr. Mossinsohn addressed a
meeting of Zionists and members
of the board of directors of the
Zionist Organization of Detroit at
noon on Wednesday at the Detroit
Leland Hotel. In an intimate and
frank manner, Dr. Mossinsohn
discussed the problems of the
Zionist Organization and called
upon the Zionists to strengthen
the organization in order to as-
sure firm action by Jews through-
out the world in behalf of Pales-
tine's upbuilding.
Dr. Mossinsohn was a guest at
dinner at Hotel Stotler preceding
his lecture In the evening. The
dinner was attended by 16 people
and was arranged by Kurt Peiser,
executive director of the Jewish
Welfare Federation in behalf of
the Allied Jewish Campaign,

whose gent Dr. Mossinsohn was
in Detroit.
In his evening address, Dr.
Mossinsohn gave a brilliant re-
sume of existing conditions in
Palestine, especially explaining the
issues that arose from the Arab-
Jewish conflict. Dr. Mossinsohn
spoke at length on the heroic de-
termination of the Jews in Pales-
tine and the manner in which they
have made advances during the
past year despite the existing
terrorism. In his address here, Dr.
Mossinsohn emphasized that the
upbuilding of Palestine is an ob-
ligation of the Jews themselves
and if the Jews are determined
to carry their work to a success-
ful conclusion, nothing will stand
in the way of the realization of
their dreams.
Judge Charles Rubiner presided
at the luncheon, and Simon Shetzer
was chairman of the evening meet-
ing.

The Kletzk Yeshiva was for-
merly famous as the Yeshiva of
Slutzk. The latter city, however,
is now a part of Russia, and the
theological school had to be moved
to Kletzk, Poland.
Continuing in the traditions
previously pursued, this Yeshiva
has a student enrollment of 300,
