Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Yaffe
celebrated their 25th wedding an-
niversary with a dinner given to
their relatives and friends on
Sunday evening, Dec. 20, at the
Lacher Catering establishment.
Mr. Yaffa has been identified
with many philanthropic and edu-

and unselfishly. He is the presi-
dent of the Tuxedo-Holmur Syna-
gogue, and has been very active

Jewish Campaign, he and his
friend, Henry Lapides, are known
as two of the ace workers in lo-
cal drives. They have not only
succeeded in covering their own
quota in a very short time, but
they have been sought by many
teams whom they assisted in
going over the top.
Mr. Yaffa never fails to respond
to the call of the United Ilebrew
Schools, whether it be in the
form of a solicitor for their mem-
bership campaigi, or in any other
manner.
The toastmaster of the evening
was Bernard Isaacs, and several
appropriate and timely Wks were
delivered by Harry Cohen. presi-
dent of the schools, A. J. Lech-
over and Joseph Haggai.
In honor of their silver anniver-
sary, Mr. and Mrs. Yaffa pledged
a substantial amount to the Jew-
ish National Fund.
The dinner ended with the
singing of Hatikvah.
