ITS AFFILIATED AGENCIES

ED ITOR'S NOTE: The following is one of • series of brief sketches

describing the work of Jewish agencies affiliated with the Jewish
Welfare Federation of Detroit and receiving their income from
the Allied Jewish Campaign.

THE LEAGUE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

The Jewish Welfare Federation includes among its
agencies the League for Human Rights, which is the or-
ganization that sponsors the boycott of German goods and
services in this city.
Since the organization of the League for Human Rights
through a conference of Jewish organizations under the
chairmanship of Simon Shetzer, a number of stores have
pledged their co-operation in the boycott and have refused
to purchase German-made goods.
The League operates from its own offices at 807 David
Stott Bldg.
The co-operation of local merchants has been enlisted
by the League for Human Rights as a service to humanity.
