WARSAW (WNS) —Hundreds
of Jews, were driven from their
homes in the town of Wiszonki,
Central Poland, when a mob of
anti-Semites staged a midnight
raid on the JeWish quarter. Led
by a man on horseback, shops were
raided and looted, merchandise
burned in the streets and furniture
and other household goods de-

fled from their homes to nearby
towns. Those who were unable to
leave town hid in cellars and barns
until the anti-Semites left. The
police arrived when the bandits
were gone. A special police bat-

sent to Wiszonki. Damage is es-
