BLOSSOM HEATH
Songs of sophistication in the
manner suave are being dispensed
at Blossom Heath this week by
the very charming Bonners boy
and girl team who were so popular
at the Detroit Athletic Club last
winter. Billy Reed and Louise Meli
are the new dance team making
their Detroit debut. Detroiters are
also getting their first view of
that sensational new entertainer
Galigali who stands at the,top of
his profession as a clever cafe
mystifier. George Kavanaugh and
his orchestra are being held over
for a third and final week. This
entire show will remain at the
Heath for only one week. Ilarry
Richman and Bob Grant's beach
and tennis club orchestra will open
on Thursday, June 4.
ORIOLE TERRACE
Beginning Decoration Day the
Oriole Terrace will move its activi-
ties to the cool outdoor gardens
adjoining the building proper.
Saturday night will also see a
new Jack Pomeroy production
presented, The society dance team,
Charles and Celeste, will be the
feature of the new show, with the
blues singing Ann Paige, Frank
Hall, master of ceremonies, being
held over. Other newcomers in-
clude Johanne Thayer, eccentric
specialty dancer; Verna Dean, in
a rhythm dance, and Pamola Clif-
ford in an acrobatic routine and
the Pomeroy-Earl Girls in new
production numbers.
The sensational newcomer, An-
thony Trini and his music will pro-
vide the tunes for dancing under
the stars. The mounting popularity
of this fine band has caused the
management to hold them over in-
definitely. In the event of rain or
inclement weather all activities
will be moved inside, the Terrace
being kept in readiness for just
such an occasion. The Monday
night "Celebrity fete" will be held
in the outdoor gardens.
WEBSTER HALL
Bob Chester and his orchestra
continue in the Cocktail Grill at
Webster Hall. The grill room
boasts one of the best cooling
plants In Detroit. Madelon Baker
is the featured girl vocalist with
Chester's orchestra. Slim Branch
and Lynne Cole sing with the or-
chestra and in the floor showe.
Several new acts will be added to
the show for Decoration week-end.
