Mr. and Mrs. Shloime Bercovich Buy

Site for Camp Near the Irish Hills

Mr. and Mrs. Shloime Bercovich,
both of whom are popularly known
in Detroit, announced this week
the purchase of a camp site on the
sandy shores of beautiful \Vamp-
lers Lake, on the crest of the
Irish Hills, 58 miles from Detroit,
on Road U. S. 112.
This camp will open on June 27,
and will be for both boys and girls.
It will have a special nursery de-
partment which will be in charge
of a Merrill I'alroer teacher.
Equipped with 'modern building,
stress will be laid on the highest
degree of sanitation, according
to
Mr. and Mrs. Bercovich, who state
that arrangements are
being made
to provide the bent recreational
facilities and to emphasise Jewish
cultural aspects in the camp activ-
ities.
Small cottages ( are being con-
structed, and aarsitary equipment
installed. The grounds will be
equipped for athletic activities and
various games.
The older children will be under
the care of nature tvained counsel-
lors with good Jewish backgrounds.
Special attention wit ,1 be given the
nursery group by thii Merrill Pal-

mer trained counsellor. Children
from 3 to 14 will be accepted in
the camp.
Mr. Bercivich is well known
here as the principal and head
teacher of the Sholem Aleichem
Folk Institute. Mrs. Bercovich is
the executive director of the Jew-
ish Child Placement Bureau.

Meyer Steinberg Joins the
Chicago Stock Exchange

Dart & Company, a leading De-

admitted to membership on the
Chicago Stock Exchange, the third
largest securities market in the
United States. The membership
is held by Meyer Steinberg, a
