Local Representative of
Lake of Wood Camp
Mies Joyce Davis has been offi-
cially appointed as the local repre-
sentative of Lake of the Woods
Camp, a camp for boys and girls,
one of the outstanding camps In
Michigan, which is ideally located
on Lake of the Woods, in Decatur,
Mich.
Miss Davis is a well-known mem-
ber of the staff at Temple Beth El,
where she has been affiliated for
the past four years in the capacity
of dramatics director. Her many
activities have brought her in con-
tact mainly with primary, inter-
mediate and junior high school
students.
She has successfully produced
numerous religious and educational
plays, including Bible stories, fest-
ival pageants and folk plays and
her work with younger people is
outstanding.
Miss Davis is a graduate in-
structor of dramatic art and as
dramatics counsellor at Lake of
the Woods camp, she will offer a
variety of entertaining and amus-
ing projects to all camp members,
such as play production, stagecraft
(including (scene design, costuming,
make-up, lighting effects, etc.) and
special courses in diction and inter-
mediative reading. The plays that
Miss Davis will produce this sum-
mer will be beneficial, yet wholly
entertaining to all the boys and
girl. in the camp.'
