In tribute to his 15 years of
service as chief of staff of North
End Clinic, Dr. Harry C. Saltz-
stein was honored at a dinner on
Tuessday evening, Feb. 25, at
Temple Beth El. Those in attend-
ance included the trustees, medical
staff, personnel and volunteer
workers of the clinic, as well as
representatives from the Jewish
Welfare Federation and the Moth-
ers' Clinic.
During his period of service as
North End Clinic's chief, from
1920 through 1935, Dr. Saltzstein
worked in the clinic's quarters in
the liannah Schloss Bldg., in the
temporary quarters on Westmins-
ter Ave., and in the present Leo-
pold Winernan Memorial Building,
at 936 Holbrook. The clinic's pres-
ent, well-equipped plant, is due in
great measure to Dr. Saltzstein's
work and foresight.
In addition to his administrative
duties, over this period of years,
Dr. Saltzstein has regularly con-
ducted a treatment clinic for pa-
tients. He has also concerned him-
self with the educational develop-
ment of the physicians of the corn.

program conducted by North End
Clinic, which offers post-graduate
work in specialized fields, is large-
ly due to Dr. Saltzstein's efforts.
