Perfection Past
Masters Night on
Wednesday, Feb. 19

The annual Past master's night
of Perfection Lodge No. 486, F.
Q A. M., will be held on Wednes-
day evening, Feb. 19, at the Ma-
sonic Temple, when the lodge will
officially welcome Milton M. Mad-
din into the ranks of past masters
and he will be presented with his
past master's apron and jewel.
The lodge will open at 5 p. m. At
6:30 the dinner and program,
which has been arranged by the
entertainment committee, will
fallow.
An outstanding feature of the
evening will be the exemplifica-
tion of the third degree at 9:30
by the SL Andrew Ilighland de-
gree team. There will also be
entertainment following the din-
ner by the members of the visit-
ing degree team.
Judge James E. Chenot of the
Wayne Circuit Court will be the
guest speaker and will speak on
the life of George Washington, the
anniversary of whose birth oc-
curs on Feb. 22, and in observance
of which Masonic lodges through-
out the state are holding special
communications.
Aaron A. Silberblatt, worship-
ful master, urges all Perfection
Lodge members to set aside Wed-
nesday, Feb. 19, to witness the
exemplification of th third degree,
long form, by the Scotch degree
team, and to attend the dinner

by the Junior Players Guild, B'nai
Moshe, movie comics, circus acro-
batics, etc., previously announced,
the committee on arrangements
for the B'nai Moshe Father and
Son dinner, advises that Louis G.
Friedman, secretary of the con-
gregation, will speak for the fath-
ers and Orville Lefko for the

riage Sunday evening, Jan. 26,
at Hotel Statler, by Rabbi A. M.
Hershman, assisted by Rabbi Isaac
Stollman.
The bride's gown was of alen-
con lace fashioned with a long
train. He long tulle veil ex-
tended from a coronet of alencon
lace caught in back by a spray
of gardenias. She carried a sheaf
bouquet of calla lilies. Miss
Sandra Balbirer, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. Mrs.
Albert C. Clinton, sister of the
bridegroom, was matron of honor.
Other attendants were the
Mimes Goldie Dickman, Jeanette
Bressler, Yetta Teach and Sophie
Balbirer.
Little Susanne Jackson, niece
of the bridegroom, was flower
girl, and Jerome Clinton, nephew,
was ring bearer.
Albert C. Clinton was best man.
The ushers were Ralph Gorelik,
Abraham Katz, Bertram Shubbs,
Jack Fink and Manuel Stoler.
After the ceremony a dinner
and reception was held in the
ballroom of the hotel for 300
guests.
The young couple mototed to
Florida where they will remain
for a month.

"Amateur Night" of
Young Men's Ass'n

At the meeting of the Young
Men's Jewish Association held last
Sunday at the Barium Hotel, it
was announced that letters_ were
received from the Jewish Old
Folk0' Home and the Eva Prenz-
laser Maternity Aid thanking the
Y. M. J. A. for donations.
Many requests have been made
to the officers of the Y. M..1. A.
for a repeat performance of "The
Whole Town's Talking." Due to
the fact that the second annual
amateur night is approaching, it
is impossible to accede to these re-
quests. This presentation will take
place the latter part of March.
Marvin Raskin will be in charge
of this affair.
The manner of co-operation
which the Y. 1M. J. A. is showing
toward the Jewish Community
Center was indicated at the last
meeting when a large block of
tickets to the Center's third an-
nual smoker was disposed of.
The volleyball team, through its
captain, Morris Kosak, has chal-
lenged the Jewish Center team to
a game. Any other clubs having
volleyball teams and interested in
competing with the team of the
Young Men's Jewish Association,
are urged to contact Mr. Kosak at
the Barium Hotel.

JEWISH ORAL SOCIETY
BANQUET ON FEB. 23

In honor of the third anniver-
sary of the Jewish Oral Society,
there will be a banquet and dance
to be held at the Jewish Commu-
nity Center, Woodward at Hol-
brook, on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 7:30
p. m. There will be entertainment,
with music for dancing.
Leo Goldstick is in charge of
affairs, with the assistance of Mrs.
Ruth Brock, Miss N. Brown, Mrs.
Charles Kay and Louis Berlin.
Tickets are $1 per plate. Reserva-

The Jewish Oral Society is made
up hard of hearing and oral mem-
bers. It meets weekly at the Jew-
