Rabbi Levenberg is noted not
only for his Talmudic scholarship,
but is also considered a brilliant
orator and thinker. He is the
guiding spirit of the Yeshivah of
Cleveland, where his attainments
have added greatly to the pres-
tige of the institution.
The Ladies' Auxiliary of the
Yeshivah has arranged an elabor -
ate program for the evening, in-
cluding musical selections by a
noted artist. Members of the De-
troit Cantors' Association will also
participate in the program.
Irving W. Schlussel, former
president of Young Israel, will be
toastmaster at the banquet, and
Daniel Temchin will preside.
Two portraits of the late Rabbis
Judah Levine and E. Aishiakin,
donated by S. Levine, member of
the board of the local Yeshivah,
will be unveiled.
There are very few reservations
left, and those that did not send
in the money for their reserva-
tions should do as not later than

"The narcotic drug traffic is a
business as large as, or larger than

Edward W. Kunath of the Narcotic
Squad, in a talk to the Young
Men's Jewish Association Sunday,
Dec. 15. Ile spoke for over an hour
on narcotics, and pointed out that

posed upon drug peddlers in the
past few years. Through the efforts
of Inspector Kunth who has al-
ready spent 23 years on the subject
of narcotics, and the Detroit Police

for drug addicted patients have
been put into use.

play to be presented by the Young
Men's Jewish Association, will be
produced Friday evening, Jan. 24,
at Northern High School. The De-
troit Police Department Traffic
Bureau, which conducts • drivers
school every Friday evening at the
high school, relinquished the audi-
torium for that evening. The cast
of characters has been chosen and
the following will appear in the
order named: Harvey Zeman,
Marion Simon, Adolph Silver, liar.
