ketball Conference, has an open
date in its league schedule this

est teams in the country when the
renown Renaissance five comes to
the Naval Armory Sunday night.
The invaders are rated by vet-

reputation was gained through
many seasons of record-scoring
basketball.
The Rens are so good and in such
demand they are booked for a

In attempting to correct an er-
roneous impression which was re-
ceived by a previous article of the
Young Men's Jewish Association,
the organization reports that 100
per cent of its members signed the
petition circulated by the Arced-
lens. Whether or not the petition
was to be signed by the organiza-
tion as a whole was the only fly
in the ointment and so the natural
misunderstanding. In the constitu-
tion of the Young Men's Jewish
Asociation is a clause which de-
mands the attention of every mem-
ber about anything pertaining to
Jewry. "We hope this has cleared
up the situation," declares a state-
ment of the Jewish Young Men's
Association.
The Young Men's Jewish Asso-
ciation will present as its speaker
on Dec. 15, Inspector Kunath of
the Narcotic Squad who may bring
with him one or two of his sub-
jects. This subject has demanded
wide attention recently and the
members have requested permis-
sion to bring some of their friends
to listen in.
In a preliminary to the Jewish

genie Dec. 7, the Young Men's Jew-
ish Association, after a thrilling
contest, emerged victories by the
score 17 to 15, the game being de-
cided in the last 45 seconds of play.
For the winners, Weisberg, Shur-
gin, and Jackmann were the bright
lights. The basket-ball team will
not be at its full strength at any
time this season due to the fact
that Ben Bayer and Ted Goode
are playing with the Jewish Center
team. Ben Bayer is a former cap-
tain of the Ypsilanti Normal Bas-
ket-ball team. Ted Goode starred
for the same team for three years.
Both are graduates of Northern
High School of this city.
"The Eyes of Naggo" another
of a series of plays written by Gil-
bert Mark will be presented by
the Mummers oover radio station
WJR, Sunday evening, Dec. 15, at
11:30 p. m. This will be under the
direction of Charles Penman.
Rehearsals for the play "The
Whole Town's Talking" have been
taking place with unmistakable
regularity and the date of present-
ation will be in January. It was
announced at the last meeting of
Y. M. J. A. that the entire pro-
ceeds from the production of this
play will be donated by that or-
