An unusual program is planned
for the next meeting of the De-
troit unit of Junior Hadassah,
which will take place Sunday aft-
ernoon, Dec. 8, at 2:30, at the
Statler Hotel. The ceremony of
the lighting of Chanukah candles
will be performed by Jerry Son-
enklar, Miss Anne Manson will
give an explanation of the sig-
nificance of Chanukah. In con-
nection with the celebration of
this holiday, the organization will
participate in honoring Henrietta
Szold'a 75th birthday. Miss Helen
Kass will present the highlights in
Miss Szold's life.
To conclude this program the
Junior Hadassah Players will
enact a one-act play, "Wrong
Numbers." The participants will
be Geraldine Fealk, Alyce Garber
and Sarah Bloomfield.
A report of the joint Senior-
Junior Hadassah convention at
Cleveland, Nov. 28 to Dec. 1, will
also be given.
The sixth annual donor lunch-
eon committee reports an increase
in the number of pledges. The
new feature in this year's affair is
the combination of $10 pledges
with those of $5. All those con-
tributing to the $10 pledge will
be working towards having the
name of the Detroit unit of Junior
Hadasaah inscribed in the Golden
Book of the Jewish National
Fund. Both members and non-
members are invited to attend this
luncheon.

long train, and her shallow tulle
cap finished with lilies of the val-
ley, held her veil which fell to
her waist. She carried a white
main muff covered with gardenias.

Dexter Hall.

Plans are being completed for
the third annnsil donor luncheon
to be held on Jan. 29 at Lachals

Since the curtailment of Wel-
fare relief funds, heavy demands
are being made upon this society
for emergency aid.
The chairman of the committee
