Rothschild Gift Enables Re-
pairs to Palestine Hospital

NEW YORK (WNS) — A gift
of $7,500 from the late Baroness
Edmond de Rothschild just before
her death will make possible badly
needed repairs to the Hadassah
hospital in Sated, Palestine, the
only hospital for tubercular pa-
tients in Palestine, it was announc-
ed by the Hadassah Organization.
The late Baron Edmond de Roth-
schild gave the property of the
hospital building to Hadassah
shortly after the World War but
in the last few years its condition
became no bad that it was to have
been condemned as unsafe. The
gift of Baroness Rothschild will
enable the Hadassah to convert the
hospital in to an exclusively tuber-
cular institution.

Mrs. Joe Magidsohn, chairman
of the Infant Welfare Fund of the
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah, re-
ceived contributions from the fol-
