Mrs. Jacob Harvith the retir-
ing president, welcomed the mem-
bers and guests. She thanked
everyone for their whole hearted
cooperation in helping to make
her three consecutive years in
office successful. Mrs. liarvith
then introduced Kurt Peiser, who
gave a very inspiring talk, and
congratulated the club on the
splendid work it is doing.
In her message as past presi-
dent, Mrs. Harvith said:
"It is difficult for me adequa-
ately to express my own per-
sonal appreciation for the loyal
support, the conscientious advice
and the untiring assistance that I
have received from the Zedakah
Club at all times. For the many
kindnesses and, courtesies extend-
ed to me during the years of my
presidency, ant for the privilege
and pleasure of service in the
work of the club, I am most
grateful. I also cannot thank the
members enough for the great
honor recently bestowed upon me
in planning to inscribe my name
in the New Old Folks Home. To
have made a host of friends
through the Zedakah contacts ,
and to have been honored and
accorded recognition in the com-
munity as your representative
because you trusted in me and
placed me in office has been an
enriching experience.
