Saturday morning services are
held as usual at 9:45 a. m. These
services are conducted by the
children under the supervision of
teachers. The children are not
only taught to read properly and
chant their prayers, but they are
also taught the traditional man-
ner of chanting. Those who are
endowed with good voices are be-
ing prepared to officiate and act
as Chazonim. A large number of
children thus prepared are now
officiating at the Junior Congre-
gation of the Shaarey Zedek.
during the winter months. Reg-
ular beginners' classes are now
being organized for children of
different ages. All these arrange-
ments are being made for the
months of June and July. Those
parents who wish to take advan-
tage of these arrangements should
do so immediately.
During the month of August
the Hebrew Schools will close for
vacation.
The newly-organized branch of
the Hebrew Schools, which was
located until the closing of the
public schools at the MacCulloch
, School, has now, through the
c ourtesy of the president, Louis
Rose, and his board of directors,
been transferred to the Adath
Yeshurbn Synagogue, located at
Tyler and Wildemere.
Sessions are held at 9:30 in the
morning, as at all other branches
of the United Hebrew Schools.
M. Michlin, principal of the Fen-
kell School, is also in charge of
the supervision of this branch.
