Old Folks' Home Group

• Members of the Women's Auxil-
iary of the Jewish Old Folks' Home
filled the small ballroom of the
Stetter, last Monday afternoon, for,
the 10th anniversary meeting and
installation of officers.
I Services were carried through by
Mrs. Louis Rubenstein, first pres-
ident of the auxiliary. Little Rita
Lenore Kaltman, who joined the
membership rolls of the Old Folks'
'Home when but a few days old,
pinned corsages on each of the in-
coming officers, organizers and
past presidents. She was intro-
duced by Mrs. A. M. Ferar, presi-
dent.
The Auxiliary is planning for
a "Thrift Sale" to be held soon.
Mrs. J. Weisman of 2971 Glendale,
To. 6-4626, has been appointed
chairman of this enterprise, with
Mrs. N. Blatnikoff, 2214 W. Grand

Lag b'Omer was celebrated in
all the branches of the United
Ilebrew Schools in the traditional
manner. The younger children
went out on their "tiyul" (outing)
and spent an hour with their
teachers in dancing and singing,

b'Omer. The older children spent
their time in an appropriate man-
ner studying the history connect
ed with the holiday and the vari-
ous customs and ceremonials.
