"In your issue of April 26
there appeared an account of

against the Zionist-Revisionists
sufficiently grave and incredulous
to arouse our doubt as to the full
accuracy of the report. Before
commenting upon the accusations
per se we dispatched a communi-

statement ascribed to him and
received a corroborating reply.
We have now given him a limited

support of his exceedingly dan-

fails to comply with our request.
That he will fail to substantiate
any and all of his accusations we
have not the slightest doubt for
they are absolutely and unquali-

tions, to the examination of the
Revisionist program at its true
source, he would not have uttered
words which might harm the very
cause of Jewish-Arab amity he
espouses; for by his slanderous
statement that there exists a Jew-
ish party which is against 'peace-
able and friendly cooperation
with the Arab people' he has given
to some unscrupulous anti-Jewish
agitators an apparently weighty
but in fact irresponsible source of
reference which at a given mo-
ment may serve as inflammatory
material for the very eruption
and disruption the professor un-
doubtedly seeks to avoid.
"The Revisionists stand for no
small measure of 'social justice'
in Palestine or anywhere else
than any other party in Zionist
and Jewish life. Moses and the
prophets and their teachings are
much nearer and dearer to th em
than to the Socialist Histadruth
the professor so vigorously rec-
ommends. These teachings are
incorporated in the Bible and no
Revisionist has ever flouted it as
has Mr. Chertok, a leader of Pro-
fessor Einstein's pet Histadruth
and the official political repre-
sentative of the Jewish Agency,
who less than a year ago, while
a witness at a trial in Jerusalem,
refused to be sworn in on the
Bible. The Revisionists, as for-
mulated in a petition which will
be submitted to the British Parlia-
ment, stand 'for a thorough and
effective revision of the system
of government established by the
Mandatory Administration in Pal-
estne so as to adapt that system
to the true meaning of the Man-
date.' They seek the solution of
the Jewish problem, international
in its scope (as further formu-
lated in the petition) through
'the free immigration of Jews
into Palestine on both sides of
the Jordan'; and 'while fully se-
curing the rights and interests of
non-Jewish inhabitants,' they fur-
ther seek 'normal collective ex-
istence called national statehood,
which is common to all the other
nations on earth.' They are pri-
marily concerned with the suc-
ce ssful transplantation to Pales-
tine within the shortest possible
time of those masses of Jews in
Eastern and Central Europe
which, because of conditions and
laws operating against them face
annihilation. The Revisionists
maintain that the communistic
agricultural colonies of the His-
tadruth , known as 'kevuzoth,'
cannot and will not solve any
problem. In the course of three
decades, despite the vast efforts
and the millions of dollars of
Zionist funds invested in these
experimental settlements, less
than 7500 workers have been es-
tablished in them. Since the
problem is to bring large masses
of Jews into the country and
since theist immigration depends
upon the influx of private capital ,
the Revisionists advocate the en-
couragement of the influx of pri-
vate funds. They are, however ,
opposed to unscrupulous exploita-
tion and propose that profits of
capital be fixed and disputes be-
tween Jewish labor and capital be
settled by boards of arbitration .
The Revisionists further maintain
that the present police and se-
curity system of the country is
largely responsible for three ma-
jor disastrous anti-Jewish out-
breaks; that it is scandalous to
divgrt from the Palestine budget.

for the maintenance of a military
unit in Transjordan, as the Man-
datory Power has done in the
past, particularly as Transjordan
is, contrary to the Mandate,
clewed to the Jews; that it is un-
fair that the frontier guard of
Palestine should be almost ex-
clusively Arab; and they, there-
fore, urge that the security sys-
tem of Palestine should he so re-
organized as to afford the Jews
the opportunity of 'guarding their
own vineyards.' Since the JOY!,
do not now govern the country
and since they have not nor can
they have sufficient collective or
'national' capital wherewith to
build a 'model state,' the Revi-
sionists maintain that the Jewish
masses threatened with annihila-
tion must be brought to Pales-
tine first and let them determine
later in a democratic way what
social and political forms will
best suit them and the country.
"All of which cannot be even
remotely linked with 'phrases bor-
rowed from our worst enemies.'
Incidentally, it is the Revisionists
who have, since the ascension of
Hitler, been among the first to
fight 'these 'worst enemies,'
through advocating and support-
ing the anti-Nazi boycott; and it
was the Histadruth - controlled
Zionist Executive which has coun-
tenanced, condoned and support-
ed parts between Palestine bodies
and the Hitler government, as a
result of which the Palestine mar-
ket is virtually flooded with Ger-
man goods:
"The Histadruth, while prating'
about 'social justice' and a 'model
community,' actually tries to im-
pose the dictatorship of its cies,s
upon the entire Jewish population
in Palestine. While depending
for its continued power upon the
funds of middle class Jews—sand
the majority of the Jews through-
out the world is middle class—it
•seeks to utilize this power for
bringing in a minimum of that
middle clans into Palestine. And
that is the kind of 'justice' for
(which the professor has raced
his misguided spear!
' "There is only one thought in
'Professor Einstein's outburst to
which I fully subscribe and that
is that 'he feared the inner e ne-
mies among the Jews more than
the outward.' We too fear them.
Our inner enemies are those who
speak whereof they know not;
who try to subordinate the inter-
ests of the people to those of ! , fie
group; and to supplant the Bible
of Moses and the prophets by the
Bible of historic materialism.
"Cordially yours,

"Chairman, Central Committee."
