that this is a favor to ourself and
an act of good citizenship.
Just this auspicious combina-
tion of events is my enthusiastic
endorsement of Thomas M. Cotter
for Recorder's Court Judge. In
voting at the coming election for
the return of Judge Cotter, you
are helping to elect an experi-
enced and worthy servant of pub-
; lic interests, a man whose per-
sonal integrity during his 20 years
upon the bench is well matched
by conscientiousness in office and
ability in his discharge of duty.
A man whose record is clear,
whose standards are of the high-
est. I urge you to carefully con-
sider his candidacy and to give
him your support.
Sincerely yours,
Elsie K. Sulzberger

Judge Harry B. Keidan's rec-
ord of 15 years on the bench of
Detroit and Wayne County
stamps him an ideal jurist, in the
opinion of fellow judges, lawyers
and public alike. Judge Keidan
is a candidate for re-election to

the community.
Organized by a group of Jewish
women who have given unselfishly
of their time and money towards
helping to aleviate the sufferings
of poor, unfortunate and needy
Jews, the members decided at the
last weekly meeting, which was
held at the home of Mrs. Morrie
Brown of DAC, Tuxedo Ave., that a
great and noble service can be per-
formed by contributing clothing to
Jewish orphans. Henceforth, the
club will devote its efforts to this
puCpose and to acquaint the mem-
bers with the needs of orphans, Dr.
Otto Hirsch, superintendent of the
Jewish Children's Home, will be
the principal speaker at the next
meeting which will be held on Mon-
day, April 1, at the home of the
president, Mrs. Harry Clark, at
2990 Elmhurst Ave.
