Clemens adopted the slogan "the finest Jewish resort hotel in America," truer words could not have been said. That very ade- quately describes this newest ad- dition to the Jewish hostelry of this locality. Equipped with every modem convenience, planned with every conceivable facility for the ut- most comfort and pleasure of its guests, there is 'little doubt but that the Colonial will soon be- come one of the most famous in the entire country. It is delightfully located in the center of a private park whose grounds have been carefully cared for and which add to the pictur- esque beauty of the site. Golf enthusiasts will find excellent courses within a short distance. Riding experts will marvel at the numerous and lovely bridle paths. The indoor life, too, has been carefully planned to please the most exacting individual . . . beautiful dining rooms, spacious and numerous bridge and recre- ation rooms, well stocked libraries, a solarium high up on the roof affords sun baths galore, bedrooms tastefully and comfortably fur- nished and assuring rest and peace. A new and swanky cock- tail lounge adjoining a romantic terrace where the Colonial orches- tra will thrill you with its en- thralling dance or concert-every whim, every desire, every slight- est need is gratified. An unusual feature and an ex- tremely welcome one is the loca- tion of the baths within the hotel. This enables the guest to reach them by elevator within a few moments after leaving one's own room. No fear of drafts, no fear of colds. The medical department, too, like the remainder of the hotel, was carefully planned, and always with the paramount thought in mind to fill the requirement of the guest. And no the most ape propriately equipped departments in miles around. Keeping in mind that primarily Mt. Clemens is a Judge Boyne's Re-Election Urged On Ground of His Humanitarian Methods PATRICK H. LUTOMSKI DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE ,t Z' I II LII LI 111'101 when my amazement found no response in an Orthodox friend, who said that she had known about it all along. I refer to the existence and sale of "kosher" clothes. I had known that the Bible contained a clause prohibiting the mixture of two different types of textiles but I didn't know that in this age there were still people who were as pious as all that - and that there were clothing stores which were devoted exclusively to such clothes which met the Mosaic code. Right in the heart of Fifth Ave- nue there is an institution known as the Combine Clothing Ex- change, which sells non-Shat- new" '(which means unmixed) "kosher" clothes. Its advertise- ments are directed to the Ortho- dox Jew, inferring that Jews wearing garments mixed of wool and linen fail to achieve their prayers to Heaven. What has me worried though is how the rabbis, who give their signature to the kashruth of the garments, inspect it, follow it through its various manufacturing stages in order to certify its holiness in acordance with the dietary - so to speak- code. It is the obligation of every citizen to cast his or her ballot at the Election on Monday, April 1. There is nothing more vital than the selection of an able judiciary.
