The principal speaker of the
afternoon was Rabbi Leon, I.
Feuer of the Collingwood Ave.
Temple of Toledo, whose subject
was "Brave New Yorld." Rabbi
Feuer explained that he applied
this title to Palestine, whose up-
building he declared to be an
epic achievement which does not
have its parallel in all of modern
history. He stated that "what is
happening in Palestine is nothing
short of a historical miracle." He
enthusiastically lauded Hadassah
for having introduced modern
scientific medicine and sanitation
into Palestine, and remarked that
if Palestine in the future become
a healthful and medically intelli-
gent place in which to live, much
of the credit will go to Hadassah
organizations. Rabbi Feuer stated
that "Palestine is the guarantee
of Jewish survival. Through Pal ,

will to live; Israel now has recov-

The singing of Hatikvah con-
cluded the program.
