In Tel Aviv, Bialik's home in the past
few years, had been the center of Jewish
gatherings, especially on Saturday after-
noons when the poet himself conducted the
Oneg Shabbat assemblies.
Born in 1873, in Radow, South Russia,
Bialik early began to show signs of promise
as a great literary figure. His poems written ,
after the massacres i n 1905 won undying
fame.
In 1926 he made a tour of England and
the United States in the interset of Palestine's
reconstruction, and in the course of his travels
visited in Detroit, being hailed by large and
enthusiastic gatherings.

The Sales and Super-Service Station will be housed

Hi-Speed Gas Station and Lubritorium in connection
with a completely equipped Chevrolet Sales, Service
and Parts setup. No money or pains is being spared to
make this the most outstanding service station of its
kind. Within the near future more details will be an-
nounced in The Detroit Jewish Chronicle.
We are now operating from our temporary location in the Avalon Thea-
ter Building — Linwood and Davison and are in a position to continue to
render the same satisfying service as in the past.
