Little children; men and women whose
youth is long past; helpless, bewil -
dered strangers; fellow Jews whose
health has broken; all these appeal
to you for aid. Detroit's Jewish corn-
munity must answer this appeal. If
our boys and girls are to grow up
strong, straight and well, if they are
to be imbued with a proud conscious-
ness of the honor of being a Jew, the
work of Federation's agencies must
go on. If our aged are to be granted
freedom from anxiety in the twilight of their lives, the work of
Federaton's agencies must go on. If our less fortunate brothers
to be relieved of want that strikes at the very roots of exist-
are
ence; if those who suffer pain are to be made well, the work of
Federation's agencies must go on. Your contribution to the Allied
Jewish Campaign will help to make life bearable for these men,
women and children whose lives have become burdens too heavy
to be borne alone.

Thousands of our fellow Jews in Ger-
many; professional men, government
employees, business men, have been
violently uprooted from their accus-
tomed fields of work. Unjust perse-
cution has made it impossible for them
to earn even enough for a bare exist-
ence. In many cases, these men,
women and children have been up-
rooted not only economically, but to
the e xtent that they must seek shelter
in foreign lands. These fellow Jews
look to you for aid! Their children must be given refuge
in lands
a stigma that
where they will not grow up pariahs eneration.

vantage point of economic and social security to aid these leas
fortunate brethren. Your contribution to the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign enables you TO FIGHT THIS HUMAN MISERY WITH
DOLLARS!

A homeland for the oppressed, virgin
soil ready and waiting for the plough
of the pioneer, Palestine stands today
for the land of opportunity for the
Jew. An infinite field of activity lies
ready for cultivation in the Palestine
of today: As a haven for the oppressed
and persecuted Jew, as a land where
his children can develop in the full
consciousness of the glory of Judaism,
as an experimental laboratory where
all that is worthwhile in new agricul-
tural, industrial and educational methods can be developed on the
soil of our forefathers, Palestine stands unique in our modern
world. The support of Jews in other lands must precede these
great endeavors. To aid the pioneer in carving out a new existence
is to share in one of the most tremendous undertakings of war day.
Your contribution to the Allied Jewish Campaign will enable you
to have a personal part in this undertaking.
