Harold M. Heitman, son of Mr.
and Mm. Benjamin Heitman of
11145 Slack avenue, attained the
highest public speaking honor of
Southeastern High School when
he won its annual oratorical con-
test, held on March 6. Ile spoke
on "The Golden Calf," in which
he attacked the individual finan-
eial ambition of our modern so-
cial system rather than higher
and more worthy standards of
success. It is the first time in the
long history of this highly com-
petitive contest that a Jewish stu-
dent has been victorious.
