years devoted herself to the study
and the writing of poetry.
The Oneg Shabbat, or Joyous
Sabbath, is held once a month un-
der the auspices of the educa•
tional committee, Mrs. Shmarya
Kleiman, chairman. This innova-
tion is becoming increasingly pop-
ular as a means of spending an
educational afternoon in the in-
timate and sociable atmosphere
of a home. Hadassah members
are invited.
Banking events during the pest
year have caused many people to
discontinue their checking ac-
counts, thereby making it differ-
ent to remit dues by check. The
small number of Hadassah meet-
ings has given members few op-
portunities of paying their dues in
person. To remedy this situation,
two dues committees have been
formed, headed by Mrs. Sol Perl-
man and Mrs. Aaron Silberblatt ,
who will call upon members in
the near future. The co-operation
of members with these commit -
tees Is earnestly requested.
