The committee in charge, headed
by Mrs. William Roth and Mrs.
Robert Kallman, plans ninny novel
attractions in addition to the reg-
ular floor show which is a feature
of the Club Maxine.
Eleven years ago, eight women
organized the Home Relief Society
for the purpose of giving imme-
diate relief to the needy. Mrs.
Harry Shulman was the first presi-
dent and for nine years gave libel..
ally of her time and strength,
guiding the destinies of this or-
ganization, until it became one of
the outstanding groups function-
ing in this community.
Mrs. Al Weisman became the
next president, taking over her
duties during the severe economic
depression, and with the co-opera-
tion of all the members, was able
to keep up the tradition of the
Home Relief Society, that of giv-
ing immediate relief, then follow-
ing up the cases, giving whatever
further help was needed. Many
people were given glasses, correc-
tive shoes, braces, crutches, teeth,
medical supplies. The Home Re-
lief Society now numbers over 200
members.
Mrs. Al Weisman was unani-
mously re-eltcted president.
For reservations for the eleventh
birthday dinner-dance, call Mrs.
Roth, Townsend 8-6027, or Mrs.
