what the law permits. we should not trouble
them in the exercise of the privileges accorded
to them. Though they choose to persist in
their hardness of their hearts rather than to
seek to understand the oracles of the Prophets
and the secretes of the I.aw, and come to a
knowledge of Christ, they have on that account
no less right to our protection. Hence as they
claim our assistance, we comply with their de-

protection, in compliance with the gentle spirit
of Christian piety, following the footstep s of
our predecessors of hippy memory, of Celia-

of Celestin , . , "

"It is in consequence of the sacred principles

Mention is then made of the kindness re-

Two Sportsmen Debate Olympic Boycott

By MILTON BROWN

Two well - known American
sportsmen, both of them lighters
and upholders of what they deem
the principles of "demoeracy in
sport," .both outstanding mem-
bers of the American Olympic
Comunittee which some 10 days
ago passed a resolution condemn-
ing Germany's discrimination
against .lewish athletes, balked
recently with a representative of
the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
The interviews have a height-
ened interest on account of the
opposite poles of thought the men
represent. They are more im-
portant since they disclose the
intellect which decided an issue
of considerable interest to Jews
everywhere.
